Chinese 870 clones?

At a recent gun show, one table had several Chinese-made clones of the Remington 870 HD. Didn't examine them very closely, but externally they looked like dead ringers for the real McCoy. Anyone have any experience with these?

I can think of two reasons to not get a communist Chinese 870 copy.

Really good used real 870 for less.

The Communist Chinese army doesn't need my money.

I agree with Sam, about a year ago I bought a used 870 Express for $169. I like saving money but sometimes you have to draw the line.

Used 870 beaters are neither scarce nor expensive. They may look rough but will work longer than we will.

Politics and human rights concerns aside, questionable metallurgy and a warranty that may be little more than a joke make these clones not the best deal.

I looked at one of these Chi-com copies at a gun show. Didn't get past the muzzle - it looked like it had been cut and finished with a dull hack saw! If they can't figure out how to finish the end of barrel, I shudder to think what they might be like inside. Cheap doesn't always equate with a good buy.
