Any Of You Pistoleros Ever Compete Using A 1873 Winchester?

Seems all I read about is how great Marlin lever guns are. I've had a old Puma lever rifle in .44 Mag. Just never cared for the action much. Was wondering if any in here have any first hand knowledge of the Winchester '73?

My shooting partner used a Win '73 replica in CAS and was completely satisfed with it. I started with a new Win 94 (wit the new safety) I hated it and traded for a Win '92 in .45. Never had a problem with it.
