I Hate Ebay!!!!!!!!
I put my Ruger folding stock on there to sell, which I have seen many sell along with BC stocks. They took it off becouse they said they dont allow firearms to be sold there. I stated that it was just for the stock only. What a bunch of communists!! I also hate Kalifornia for their stupid laws that some people think we must go by them. WHY?! Sorry for fumeing. I just had to get on my soap box and let some steam off. Anyone else have this problem?

Yep. I recently had a CETME stock and forend pulled. They said they did not allow assault weapons parts. There's no point in arguing. Try selling it here, on Rimfire Central, or Auction Arms.

I know what you mean. But what is stupid, there are butler creek stocks on there all the time. and their original stocks as well, the full length ones. I would sell it here or other places but it seems that it doesnt bring as much. I told them they were a bunch of commies. Lets see if they take me off for good now LOL!

No, unfortunately they can't be commies.
Commies at least THINK. The morons at Ebay don't, won't, or simply aren't capable of thinking. |

E-bay is just plain stupid, just look at the guy in Australia who was trying to sell SPENT .303 cases, I followed that because his auction was amusing.
E-bay is just plain anti-gun, no if, ands, or buts, about it. They have clearly demonstrated that over the past years. On the other hand.....if you want to sell your Beanie Babies...or your old Starwars lunchbox...... :barf: |

I just done a search on there and there is a feller from Kalifornia selling one. I am watching it just to see if those el-como-pinky's are going to take him off. I am going to a few gunshows soon and Lord willing I can trade it for something like a cobray or there abouts.

What do you expect, ebay is based out of california.
Since ebay is getting so huge that it's hard to find things and also to get around (they group things in the same catagory that doesn't even belong) that I think another auction site should be started. P.S. I hate ebay, I used to sell there but the percentages and such have gone up to the point that it's not worth it anymore. Wayne |

Ebay is antigun and they don't sell and parts for 'assault weapons' as defined in California law because you can't send parts to Ca. The odd thing is that Ebay sets up a booth at the SHOT Show. I don't understand it.

sell on gunbrokers. There used to be a halarious post awhile back of a guy who tried to sell spent cases without primers. Ebay refused to let him, so he went back and forth with them basically telling them they were idiots and stuff. The funny part is, they kept responding. I think he responded back and forth a total of 8 times on his part, and 8 times on their part. On his post, he wrote how ebay was a bunch of morons if they take his post off because this is a legal item with no primer (all brass).

They don't always follow their own rules.
Case in point - I sold an AK pistol grip and forend/handguard not too long ago. I was just waiting for the e-Bay blissninnies to terminate my auction. The auction went unmolested, and the item sold just fine. The e-Bay naughty item crawler probably let it go because I never used the term AK-47 or Kalashnikov.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=7134708507 I'll have to be creative with the description of the next batch of AK items I sell. |

I once had an auction cancelled in which I was selling a scope!!! I mentioned in the ad that it would be good for a AR15 and two days later it was cancelled. I relisted it leaving out the part about it being good for the AR and it sold without a problem. Go figure!

Well Egay done it again. I was watching another factory folding stock on there and it got kicked off. Why do the factory ones get kicked off and none of the BC ones or the regular stocks?

Carbine stocks
I have sold an M1 carbine stock on ebay and bought a couple from there too, recently. I used search key "carbine stock" and seen AR collapsable stocks and the like on there for sale. Maybe you have to use clever wording to get around their dumb rules as they probably do use automatic searches for "bad" things by keyword or something. They do sell alot of nasty porn and adult toys on there without a blink and some stuff I have seen is so unbelievable that I cannot really believe they have the welfare of their audience in mind. I have made a good buck on there selling household stuff so I will keep signed up for certain items. People will buy any crap on there that you list! As long as the pictures are good and the description catches their attention. You don't need to have a garage sale with all the bother-just put the stuff on there and make them eat the shipping, or do like some do and add an exorbitant S/H fee to pad your profits.

There is one guy that had his taken off and he relisted it the same but put a buy it now at a decent price and within a day it was gone. But now that egay is trying to be tuff with sellers I believe I will do the same and just beat them at their own game or just sell crap. as you said anything will sell. LOL! I am glad I didnt sell it on there really 'cause I just traded it for a cobray m11 9mm with 7 mags and a loader so I would rather have it than the money anyway.

You're better off not selling on eBay anyway. I seriously haven't been paid at LEAST half the time when selling. (Usually have decent luck buying - but those instances are rare.)
I have always had excellent results with Gunbroker. Even when I had a zero rating I'd have no problems buying or selling things. ALWAYS been paid in a timely fashion. Always been shipped things I buy promptly. |

Use paypal
I'll bet some of you hate paypal too. I usually demand paypal payment on ebay and never have gotten burned yet. I did get ripped off by a seller on ebay once but I used paypal to pay so I sicked them onto him and they put the money back in my acct. Guess it is good when you can fool ebay at their own game and sell something they don't like under a vague category. Go for it. But I buy and sell stuff other than guns so it works for me in that area. I like to trade guns at shows alot. Then I can see what I am getting anyway. Never liked buying sight unseen like from wholesale as I always got crap anyway. Let my C&R slide because of that. Wholesalers tend to grade a bit high, as far as I am concerned. Selling on ebay is so much sweeter than buying-people bid up all kinds of junk that you would have to try to dump at an antique dealer or garage sale, for peanuts. My gawd how the money rolls in, rolls in...........

Be advised of paypal
I'm not sure what happened, but after buying several police type holsters/gear on E-bay using paypal, I got a note (several) saying that my account has been compromised and they needed my card # to verify it. I assumed it was E-bay personal.....so after i sent them a nasty gram, I cancelled the card, and cancelled e-bay and paypal. its not worth it......the end.

You probably got that e-mail from a fake.....
I get em from time to time and report them to paypal and ebay security. If you have doubts call them on the phone. They will never ask you for your password or a card number in the mail. In fact dont ever put a card number or acct or personal info in a n e-mail. Chances are its a fake just fishing for info.
