Ensure fit in tight chamber?

My CZ-75B has a tighter chamber than my other 9x19's. A small fraction of my reloads (maybe 1/100) end up with a slightly thicker case neck which does not allow the round to chamber.

The pistol does not fully return to battery, and the only remedy at that point is to whack the rear of the slide with my palm to seat it - the slide will not move to the rear at all.

Currently I remove the barrel from my CZ and try to drop every loaded round into it. If any do not go in all the way with no pressure, I toss the round.

Is there a better way to do this?

You could have the chamber reamed with a SAAMI specification reamer. I have had all manner of .45 and 9mm chambers recut to take ammo I could buy or load. I can think of several reasons for tight chambers. Factories will use a reamer too many chambers and it wears and is resharpened undersize. Aftermarket barrels will have "tight match chambers" trying to squeeze out a quarter inch in group size to advertise, but at the expense of reliability. Foreign makes may have different specifications under CIP and DIN than we do under SAAMI.

Or you could change bullets or sort brass and tailor loads to that gun.

My CZ takes the same loads that my other 9mms do.

A couple things to try:

Check which make of brass is causeing the tight rounds. The internal taper on some brass is sharper than others and the brass can be thicker as well. If they are all the same make you can sort those out before loading.

You don't mention which bullet you are using, but if you are shooting lead bullets, they are usually about a thousanth or so larger than jacketed. If that's the case you could switch to jacketed for that gun.

Sorry if you have already addressed those things.
BTW, does the gun have problems with factory rounds?

Bullets are Gold Dots.

No problems with factory rounds.

I don't still have the faulty rounds to check brass mfgr, unfortunately.

Seating depth is not a problem with these bullets (though it is with others). I could see the contact point on one of them and it was 1-2mm down the case from the mouth -- not in the area that was belled.

The CZ 75 is sensitive to OAL. Took a bit of getting used to when I sold my Ruger P95 and bought the CZ.

One other thing I have found that does help is using the Lee Carbide Factory Crimp Die on my reloads.
