4v50 Gary:

Is there any supply of Eastern Block 14.5mm ammo available in the U.S. for the Russian PT series AT rifles?

Can't help you here. Suggest Shotgun News and Gun List. You may want to check out some of the big importers.

Thanks anyway, thought it would be worth a try. A Bulgarian friend of mine is checking into availability over there, but with the current hostilities next door, he may have to wait until that is over before any amount may become available as they still use these firearms in active service. Once things settle down though there should be some surplus supply.

U might benefit from trying to contact Istvan Fellegi,Miskolo,Hungary.
Since they manufacture 14.5B chambered rifle
(Destroyer Heavy Sniping Rifle)
Their ammo is loaded with 994grain tungsten carbide core ball that leaves barrel of unspecified length at awesome 3280fps.
It should penetrate 16mm of rolled armor steel at 1000m range. Price is propably quite horrifying despite the country of manufacture.
Same house makes modell called Gepard HSR
in 12,7X108 which is single shot while the Destroyer is semiauto.
Latter rifle shoots aprox. 12"@660yards with standard military ball (that is designed to disperse a bit for A-A use).
It should penetrate 30mmarmor @100m and 15mm@600m.

I hope this helped

994gr @ 3280fps = 23,741 ft/lbs.

Pant, pant, pant... Something new to save up for.
