Understanding NJ Gun Bills
So yesterday I got an email from the ANJRPC about a few gun bills which have passed the legislature and are off to Chris Christie to be signed.
A3797(Requires NJ State Police to disclose confidential ATF trace data in violation of federal law). So I am wondering just what is ATF trace data. I googled it and I found a bunch of statistics on ATF's website. What type of information is the bill referring to? Secondly, there is A3717(Submits mental health records to NICS – no stated requirement of due process). What do they mean by mental health records? Does this mean they will get every doctors records and submit them, or does it just mean if a court has declared someone mentally ill that this information will be submitted? |
