"Like" button?

for each post. eliminate the plus ones and such.
Give posters asking a technical question a better idea as to who supports certain answers. Several other benefits.
I realize this site probably uses a premade forum program, but an idea none-the-less.

Facebook interfacing, eh?

Then, once we get the like button, we will all rant and rave for a dislike button, but much to our peril, it will never come to fruition.

No, we're not going to add a "like" button.

If that's the only input in ones' post, by all means, PM me. I will take care of it in a jiffy...

You can "Rate" an entire thread in most of the subforums which serves a similar purpose although for the entire topic as opposed to just one post.

I've seen forums in which users vote on the merits of each other's posts. It doesn't go well. People make snap judgments they don't have to justify, and it turns cliquish and ugly.

Not much point in further discussion on this one.
