.40 S&W Minor P.F. load with T.G.

Im looking for some one who has loaded this powder to Minor Power Factor "125" with a 180 Gn. JHP using Tight Group.

I have cronoed Major loads with this powder but not the real light loads.

Major P.F. is 4.8 Gn. behind the 180 JHP running at 950 Fps.

This flake powder is like a crazy small amount at 4.8Gn.

I wonder if I kick it back to say...4.2 Gn. I'll get close?

Heres what Im using: R/P brass,winchester small pistol primers,

OAL is 1.130 to fit my Beretta 96 mags. "short suckers"

I know ,I know just crono a few of say 4.2 and some 4.0 but Im

pressed for time . Any help is greatly apreiceted.

I know I cant spell "Neaked woman" eather. Thanks

Love Titegroup myself but I find it too snappy for competition. Great blasting powder and accuracy load and you gotta love that report.

Try WST for your 180 Major loads. Meters as good, almost as cheap, shoots almost as clean BUT it is THE softest shooting powder I've found for 165 PF loads.

My 165 PF load is 4.6 behind a star 180 FMJ-FP loaded to 1.140 OAL. Makes major from my 5" 1911 Kimber.

BTW: My 125 PF load is 3.7 Clays behind a Star 155 FMJ-FP loaded to 1.140 OAL.

Clays for 125 PF
WST for 165 PF
Titegroup for moderate blastin...........

Work your loads up slowly and as always your mileage may vary.

Thanks for your input. I do have some Clays I could try. I use that for my light .45s.
Is the WST a smokeless powder like T.Group?
Follow up shots in the morning sun at a match has left me waiting for the smoke to clear!
