This is what I've got to deal with.

The water heater is just to the right of that photo, and the air exchanger is also right there, as well.

I'm not kidding when I say that in this room I'm dealing with extremely limited space. That will change when I move the one wall, but that's a future project.

At the moment there is simply no way to do a redesign. There's not enough room.

Makes me appreciate..

..my portable Workmate loading "bench" and tool box makedo. Also gives me the idea of making several smaller upper shelf/cabinet units when I construct my real bench.

Where I come from, we would call that a large closet not a room.

I feel your pain. My "man cave" is 32sq ft., 6x6. It has to hold ALL my gun, reloading, hunting AND motorcycle paraphernalia.

It's a disaster at the moment.

It actually is a fairly large room.

It's both a case of how it's laid out and what's in it that makes things so tight.

Sounds like a good time to build a portable reloading setup.
Your bench in the photo isn't that large. I'd bet you could easily fit that tabletop into a semi-portable rig rather than having it fixed to the wall.

I understand, now.

There's no better time, than now, to start moving those walls. (Says the man that took 2 years to finish a single 47" wall...)

Well yea, it was his own and now he has to move it. I had a little space in the bathroom once and now that is gone too.

However; when you get the water heater out and you bang it around a little "cause it won't come out" you might get your trusty sledge and go postal on those walls you want to move. You can always apologize later.

Or your saws all could accidentally cut through all those 2x4's at the top and bottom plate.
