Super vinci questions.

I got my Super Vinci and so far, it looks like a great shotgun! But I have a couple questions I can't seem to figure out.

First, there is two buttons to release the bolt when it's locked back, what is the difference if I push the forward button or the rearward one? I'm not sure what its called, bear with me I'm new to semi-autos and doing my best to learn.

Second, are the Super Vincis crio or crio+?

And finally, I know I can not shoot steel through the full choke, does that mean I also cannot shoot Hevi-shot because it does not condense like steel doesn't?

I may be wrong but I believe the SV uses a Crio choke system

That's what I was thinking. But there is so much crio+ vs crio I was hoping it was crio+ haha.

Did you not get an owner's manual showing all of the controls? That would let you know what each button is for

I called benelli and they said you can shoot Hevi-Shot turkey through the factry Full choke

The cartridge stop latch does the same thing front to back, super Vincis are Crio+.

So far the gun feels great, light, shoulders great. And i don't know if this Is for all SV but its a PITA to assemble and disassemble new. Once you break it in should be much smoother. Factory choke tubes are the same length as my Nova Extended choke tubes. They are flush though.

But if you have the money, I would buy the Super Vinci.

I had one dismantled at a gun store last year, and once it finally was reassembled, the senior salesman stated that it would not happen again unless I bought the gun (that's right - no gun to be dismantled unless it was paid for). Yes, it was trouble to get it reassembled - so much so that I'm hoping that Benelli sorts out reassembly before I buy one.

I don't see the assembly / dis-assembly issue on the Super Vinci as a big deal....its pretty straight forward, in my experience, although I don't own one ...one of my buddies has one and he's happy with it.

We were curious when he first got it ..../ if it would be a pain in the butt....but after you've done it 4 or 5 times ..its no big deal.

I have a pair of Benelli Super Sport models...similar Inertia guns ( although Super Sport's are 3" chambers, and designed more as a target gun )...but I have a 12ga version in 30" / and a 20ga version in 28" ...and I routinely strip them down to bare frames...drop trigger groups out, etc...remove the stocks once in a while...and while its not as easy as the Vinci.../ its pretty easy too - and all of them are way easier to fully strip than most any gas operated semi-auto.

I use my Benelli's as training guns for new shooters...and some of the grandkids...and as a foul weather travel gun ...and I've had them for several years...and I'm happy with them as well ( Trap, Skeet, Sporting Clays and a variety of Upland birds )....they aren't my primary target ( clays guns ) ...but they've done everything I've asked of them ( and I probably have at least 50,000 shells thru each of them by now )...with no issues.

Just to make it clear; I am happy with my SBE, and I'll be pleased when I get a Vinci or a Super Vinci. I just would have liked it if the reassembly went easier than it did. It is good to know that within 4 or 5 tries, reassembly becomes easier.

Just came back from trap shooting with the super Vinci. Shoots so smooth and Remington hypersonic 3" had a kick like a regular 3" and then it cycles Walmart bulk pack and 1oz 2 3/4 loads flawlessly. Defiantly worth the cash.

Good to hear you like it ...Benelli's aren't cheap / but I do think they're solid guns...I've been very happy with my Benelli SuperSport models in both 12ga and 20ga as well...

The only thing I don't like about the super Vinci is the price tag. Haha.
It was a very great shooting gun, and I probably shot about 150-200 cheap shells and the barrel literally looked like I never fired it. The choke was dirty but the barrel even still had the same shine.

Sure, I get that .....but long after the price is forgotten...if its a quality firearm, you'll be happy every time you take it out to the clays course or in the field.....
