It is a very fine rifle in balance, machining and accuracy, but there's only so much room in my safe. Similarly, 8mm Mauser, 7mm Mauser, 7.62x51 are also overshadowed by my big game/antelope stopper combo.

Well for me it's a P-08 Luger. Or a real P38. I have 2 post-war P38(p1)one is marked P38 on the slide but it not a steel frame its alloy & post-war 1963. The other one is marked P1 & is a 1982.(alloy frame) I will go to my grave wanting a P-08 Luger.

Anything belt fed.
Anything full auto (but that's OK because is was a M60 gunner in 1968 with free ammo) These days, I know I'll never own: Japanese Type 5 (Japanese Garand). Last one I saw for sale was North of $23LARGE! A Czech ZH 29 auto rifle A M-1908 Mondragon auto rifle A French RCS 1918 to go with my RSC 1917 I'm 70 now and while I'm not yet thinking of selling my firearms and I've only bought 1 in the last 18 months ... a M1882 Comblain Rifle (11.4 X 50R); so you can see where I'm headed there days.
