.303 sights

I have a mk1 no4 long branch .303 with the original peep sights on the back. I want to use it as a deer rifle, but the problem is the peeps were used with 200 or 220 gr ball points according to a couple sight i've been on. I want to put regular rifle sights on the rear, but it has a couple wierd brackets you can find pictures of over the bolt. Anyone know if knew sights could be done without exceeding a reasonable budget?

AFAIK, the original ball round for the .303 Enfield like yours and mine, was a 174 grain FMJ bullet.
If you are looking to replace the stock sights with something else that is still military correct, I check with the guys in the Curios &Relics forum here:

Not looking for an authentic military look. I'm refering to the rear sight you see on most stock rifles. I can't find any specific name for them other then Open Sights. Kind of a l--l look to them, they come on most slug barrels.
