Davis D22 Safety?
I have a Davis D22 and the safety fell out. I have just 3 parts . A spring, a small bb like thing, and the safety itself. Does anyone know if thats all there is I cant seem to get it back together. I think there is something missing to hold the spring in? I cant find a blow up of it anywhere on the net.

Yeah, the cross-bolt safety on my Davis 32 acp fell out too. I wasn't very upset about it though, since the gun was originally produced w/o it and I feel it could be detrimental to quick deployment. I never even considered putting it back in.
It's kind of like that abomination they put on Win. mod 94's for a while. It hadn't been necessary for a hundred years until some lawyers came by. |

As I understand it, the D22 derringers are built on the same frame as the D32s. The only differences are the barrels and different firing pins with slightly less offset. If you can find a schematic for the D22, it should be the same as for the D32.
