We were almost shut down due to budget drying up. And by budget I mean my personal bank account has always funded the entire project. We never solicited any investors or took out any business loans. To keep a long story short, as a last ditch effort we started a Kickstarter like website and thanks to people like Steven over at The Firearm Blog helping get the word out we raised the final $10,000 needed to push from our R&D III phase to production. As a matter of fact our Generation III Chassis, now officially called the "DREADNAUGHT" (formerly only known as PROJECT TITAN) is inbound as we speak via the USPS from our machine shop partner. G3 is what the public will have access to purchase come Q4 of this year. We are still working on the last bit of R&D for the internal cooling system, but its more less fine tuning and gathering data. We hope to get the new parts finished this weekend and share some teaser photos before the professional photo shoot we have scheduled in the coming weeks. And sometime in September, fully loaded demo units are being sent to staff over at The Firearm Blog and The Truth About Guns (and a few others) to put it through whatever carnage they have in mind. I was very specific in telling the bloggers to write whatever they want. If it is awesome I want the word spread. If it collectively is neat, but has no real world appeal I want to know so I can pull the plug before investing more money into it. Worst case situation myself and a few "benefactors" (aka high dollar contributors) will own a very limited line of custom .308 ARs. Will make for decent coffee table pieces. haha! Lol, were can I meet women like your wife there Cameron? Nice rifle, most of the women I meet don't care for firearms or are outright terrified of them sadly.
@Titan, That certainly is an interesting piece you have there, looks like something you'd see out of a Sci Fi movie or something. |

VZ 58 w/ modified 75rnd AK drum attached -- it's mostly for show
That thing is pure, unadulterated fun to shoot. If only I had more time (and ammo)... TCB

Sorry for the uber late reply...

Which means that for a sub $400 rifle the quality is not bad.... but it's the same exact stock, quality, etc.... so for the .22LR... good... for the 5.56 guns. BAD! It's the only Sig Sauer product that I own and that says a lot.

Thank you, SR420; I have admired your M14/M1A builds very much. The rifle is a standard Tactical model Mini-14 with the rear sight removed in order to fit into the Sparta stock. The stock itself is carbon-fiber reinforced polymer, while the upper handguard is a full length piece of aluminum with a picatinny rail machined into it. The upper bolts to the polymer stock with four stout bolts, and this makes the whole assembly feel quite solid. The Mini-14 trigger assembly locks the action into the stock just like a regular Mini-14. The buttstock is a 4-position collapsible model, with a 7-position adjustable cheek riser. I like the Sparta stock very much, as it allows easy mounting of modern optics, bringing the old Mini-14 into the 21st century as a viable battle rifle.

I bought this DPMS LR 308 Oracle two months ago and am having a great time with it. I changed the stock to a PRS, changed the buffer and buffer tube to rifle length, put a low pro gas block on it, installed a Apex 10" free float handguard, just put a JP Binnie Cooley muzzle brake on it, put a Timney 4lb trigger on it, and mounted a Vortex 5 - 15 X 44 Viper HS scope on it. Love the scope!!!! The muzzle brake is very good at reducing recoil and with arthritis in my shoulders, it's much needed and appreciated. It is definitely loud!!!
Here's how it looks with the exception of the JP muzzle brake. It had a Battlecomp BABC on it when this picture was taken. Here's a couple of targets from one of my last trips to the range. This is with factory ammo. Both are with 4 shot groups.
