Problems Pulling Lead Bullets
I've got some 357 rounds that I loaded with Blue Dot and 125gr coned lead. At the time I didn't know that Blue Dot wasn't recomended to use for 125gr rounds anymore. What I'm trying to figure out is the best way to pull them with out damaging anything. Thank you.

Use a standard kinetic puller and put a piece of foam or something at the bottom of the cavity to cushion the bullet when it let's loose.

thank you
Ok so just a standard kenetic bullet puller should do it. Alright I guess the one that I've got is worn out I'll have to get a new one. Thanks

I'm not sure how one can wear out a kinetic bullet puller but be aware that a heavy crimp will make it considerably harder to get that bullet out. Technique also matters as does that surface the puller is striking. You need to achieve maximum velocity and maximum deceleration.

Seriously though, if you smack it against a concrete floor on a regular basis, it gets chewed up pretty fast....... a peice of soft pine to beat it on is a better idea. |

You must have taken your reloading data from some manual. If your powder charge is safe, why not just shoot them and not reload Blue Dot any more. Semper Fi. Gunnery sergeant Clifford L. Hughes USMC Retired |
