Experiences with Titegroup in magnum rounds
Hello,
Are there any folks out there who have experience with Hodgdon's Titegroup powder in .357 and .44 magnum loads? I did a search and there doesn't seem to be much on it in general, but there seems to be a good amount of loading data at their website for it. Any thoughts would be appreciated! |

Well, this is NOT a FULL magnum load. However, it has a nice .357 Magnum recoil that I find manageable and comfortable to shoot.
125gr. Win JHP 7.0gr. TiteGroup Win Primer Mixed Brass OAL: 1.573 FPS: 1,100 Gun: S&W Model 28-2 w/6" Barrel With 158gr JHP's... 158gr JHP 6gr. TiteGroup Win Primer Mixed Brass OAL: 1.542 Gun: S&W Model 28-2 w/6" Barrel (Moved back to 5.8gr. TiteGroup, saw no gain by using 6gr. over 5.8) Both loads...NOT full power, I look for less than full, with a reasonable recoil so I know I'm shooting a .357...clear as mud? Good luck, and as always, check your manuals before trying ANY loads offered by myself or others. Bob

TightGrip
'cowboy' data for 'cowboy'-level loads; perfect.
NOT for 'heavies'.
