Different powders

I'm new to this form and extremely happy to find it! Here is where I need help from you. I used to reload about 30 yrs ago and gave most of my stuff away but and now getting back into it. Picked a bad time but that's life. Anyway, I have found the following powders that I can get: Norma MPP 06630 and URP 06615; Accurate 2230, 4100, 4350, 5744, and #9; H414, 380 and us869; Vihtavuori N135, 105, 530,and 3n37 &38; Reloader 25, IMR 4759 &7828; and Winchester WSF and 780. I know it sounds like a lot but there's only 1# of each and I have to drive 60 mi. to get it. I have the following to reload: 357 maximum, 44 mag, 223, 30-30 AI, 30 TC, 300aac blackout, 30-06, 243, 25-06, 7mm-08, 280, 7 mag and 7.62x39. Any info on which powders will work for each caliber or what powder will work with several of these calibers will be most appreciated.

Additionally, I just had my H&R 357 mag reamed to 357 maximum and can't find ammo or brass. If anyone can spare as little as 10 rounds of each (i'm not greedy just desperate) I would thankful.

Sorry for such a long thread...........(hopefully) Happyhunter201

With all your calibers and only having 1lb of each available you're definitely limited.
Only powder on your list with data for 300 Blackout are AA 4100 and 5744 and AA#9.
I'd prefer H110, Lil-Gun, and AA1680 used for subsonic loads
_________
- AA4350, H414 would work in 30-06, 25-06, 7mm-08, 280, and 7mm mag
--780, 7828, or rel 25 with heavy bullets in 7MM mag
--AA 2230 for .223 Rem
--7.62x39 has data for 2230 and 5744
I'd definitely print out load data and take it with me to the store so you won't forget, I would. Being able to buy only 1 lb. of each isn't going to go far with all your calibers. Some of them I'd wait and buy the most popular and used powders for your caliber. Everybody is in the same boat, not being able to find primers, powders, and bullets but they are very slowly and being bought immediately when they do show up on the shelf.

I have the following to reload: 357 maximum, 44 mag, 223, 30-30 AI, 30 TC, 300aac blackout, 30-06, 243, 25-06, 7mm-08, 280, 7 mag and 7.62x39.
OK I'll throw in as best as I can just off the top of my pointed head here.

357 MAx, 44 mag - AA#9 will work for quite a few loads with either.

30 TC, 30-30 AI, 243, 25-06, 7-08, 30-06, & 7RM, can all digest H414, 4350, 380, and for reduced or cast loads you could use the IMR 4759, and I think the AA 5744.

You can also bump over to the Hodgdon website, and go to the online loading data. When you get there select rifle loads, and then pick say the .243. Once it pulls up all of the loads, look on the right hand side and there will be a drop down, click it, and it will show all powders which are suggested for that caliber. Pick out one of these you have here, and then click on get data. This will load all loads with that powder. Then if you click on the caliber drop down it will list all calibers with loads recommended for this powder.

If you do that with your list you will see pretty quick which ones will work best over a broader range of calibers and loads. As for the Vihtavuori powders, you can go to the Lapua website and get load data from there as well, same with Norma and Accurate Powders.

Just be sure to do some homework first it pays trust me. You might find that you won't get the top end performance from any one powder over several calibers but you might find one powder you can load plenty of calibers with.
