.204 Winchester brass problems?!?

My old man has a ruger .204 and he bought a case of 200 Winchester Super X34 gr. jacketed hollow points.
On alot of the cases there were cracks that ran from either the shoulder to halfway up the neck or from the base of the neck to the very top.
Now needless to say we were very upset because we planned on reloading them and now we can't.
Was there some kind of recall on some of the ammo lots that we missed or what? Has anyone else experienced this?

Winchester Brass

Last year just after Christmas I purchased 300 rounds of Winchester Brass. Several cases split on the first firing, ( none were loaded to max ) I believe its simply a matter of poor quality.

these rounds were factory and split like that and out of the 200 there were 71 bad rounds.
