Winchester (Uberti) 1873 stronger than reputed???
Anybody see the blurb in the new Handloader magazine? In an answer to a question posed by a reader, Brian Pearce writes that the Uberti guns in .45Colt can be run up to 20,000psi. Which yields 1300-1400fps with standard weight cast and jacketed bullets. Plenty of smack for 100yds deer/hog hunting. Mighty interesting if ya ask me!

I don't think I'd want to feed a 73 a steady diet of those. Gotta be hard on the toggles and links.

Which issue is that in? I checked the June issue and don't see the August issue on the stands yet.
