9mm Suggestions for BHP
I'm using Red Dot powder since I also load shotshells, and I'm looking for suggestions on loads for 115gr LRN, 115gr FMJ, 125 LRN and 125gr FMJ. I "inherited" about 500+ of each kind of bullet, so before I get into the heavy experimentation phase, I wanted to ask for advice.
So far, I've used 4.2-4.4 gr with the 115gr LRN and it seems as if the pistol preferred the 4.4 load. I'm hesitant to move up higher before hearing from other folks out there. A bit off topic, but is it me or is the Hi Power a great shooter or what? I just need to find a more accurate reload for it than what I've put together so far, because with some factory 115gr FMJ's it's a tack driver. Check Six. |

Howdy, thought I was the only Red Dot user, we
need to start a group.Hi, my name is Bullet and I use Red Dot. Anyway I find RD works best at the lower end wts. I use it for 380, 9x18, 9mm, tried it in 40sw and 45acp but have not had the best results with the last two. I load 3.2--up to 3.6gr, for the 9mmcz75b use lead 122gr or Berry 124grfp and at 45 ft it will just chew a big hole. The cz functions great with this lite load and is very accurate. Recoil is little or none, very fun to shoot. I have found the 124flat point to be the most accurate. If you want velocity i dont think RD is the way to go. |

EVIDENCE
Suggest slower powder for better accuracy; you already know what bullet weight it prefers.
Power Pistol, AA5, 3N37, HS6.
