Using Lee Factory Crimp dies with Barnes Triple Shock bullets

The little data sheet included in the Barnes Triple Shock packaging stated that the 3 grooves in the bullet shank were not meant to be cannelures, but you could crimp the neck into the grooves.

Has anyone done this? What results have you experienced - good or bad?

Why not call Barnes and ask them, they made the bullet.
