Cheaper alternative for Brownells Acraglas Gel?
Looking to epoxy a XS tritium bead over an existing shotgun bead, Brownells Acraglas Gel is recommended. Anyone know of an suitable alternative that is less than $20?
Anything at Home Depot or similar? Im having problems justifying $27.99 for the 4oz kit just to use a drop of the stuff. If its the only way to do it once and do it right, ill get it. Thanks. |

JB Weld has a good reputation. I haven't glued on any sights with it, but it is a good quality epoxy.

Another +1 for JB weld.
I used it to attach a fiber optic front sight onto my Hawkins Replica 50 cal. black powder almost 10 years ago and it has not failed yet. I always use acetone to degrease anything I JB weld and I think it is worth the trouble. Good Luck, James

I've used Miles Gilbert Bedrock with great results, IIRC it's about 1/2 the price and will bed 3-4 rifles.
