What to ask for a GP100 trigger job?
Hi all. I am getting ready to take a 1998 GP100 and was wondering if there was anything more to ask than polish the internals, maybe a spring kit etc? Basically I am just trying to get the lightest pull possible while keeping reliability. He says he can get double to 8 lbs and single to 3-4. Sound good? Than you.

I would'nt go any lower than that. I had my wife's 357 set at that and mine is stock. sometimes I get carried away when I'm speed shooting and pull her's so fast it almost blows by the stop. Cant get used to it so I dont shoot it much.

Just got it back DA at 9.8 and SA at 3.5. Hopefully going to test it now, but he did firing pin test and said it should be fine. Was at 12 and 5.5. Man what a difference!

I usually get GP100s to about 8 lbs DA, 3.25 lbs SA, so you are right in there. And yes, it makes a huge difference.

Scorch--
He had it at 8, but felt it was a little light and indicating light strikes. Have you had issues with that? I am fine with the pull now and put more weight into the reliability factor. |

If you need it for reliability, then increase it a bit, but remember that switching out springs is not a trigger job. If he polished and smoothed everything inside, it should be reliable, but every gun is a different beast.
