1100 reliability

at the moment my 1100 shoots great; if I put a factory 18"/20" on it, will changing it affect the reliability. thanks guys. DB

I'd leave it be - the African rifles have bbls. in the 25" range - even for fast use. I don't think it will change anything if the factory provides them.

Putting a short barrel on an 1100 with not change functing or reliability. The gas system is well underway when the shot charge gets past the front ring of the barrel, which is just behing the forend cap, well short of 18 inches.
