Interesting article on guns and self defense

Thanks for posting that link. Interesting read---revealing that gun ownership has little to do with gun violence.

Indeed, for a non criminal keeping a gun in the house is no more likely to create more crime than keeping a fire extinguisher in the house is likely to create more fires.

I'm not too sure about that one. The part about Italy is definitely wrong, as the Italian commenter posted.

We have several European posters here and it would be interesting to see if that article is factual.
I also think it is foolish to compare Europe to DC, NY, etc. and broadly associate it with the US. |

I read the Italian one as well, but from reading it sounded more about carrying then owning/buying.
