How to secure 500 w/ Knox Spec Ops?

I have a Moss 500 for HD. I had it secured in a GunVault Long Gun safe. My wife had trouble throwing the forend so I installed the Spec Ops stock.

Problem: the new stock will not fit the vault (pistol grip)

I need to secure it w/ relatively quick access. House alarm sounds, I get shotgun.

IT NEEDS TO BE SECURED FROM MY 5 & 6 YER OLD BOYS. They know the rules and are being introduced to shooting but kids are kids.

Any suggestions for a lock to use w/ shells in the tube, empty chamber?

Thanks,
Dave

Cablelock with bolt open.

Load the gun, open the bolt, roll the weapon to get the shell off the loader, then apply the cable lock. You're down one round. Just be ready to top off two when you take the cable lock.

Thanks for the reply, that is how I went ahead and secured it.

I really miss the option of not needing a key. Is there a keyless solution similar the the GunVault Long Gun safe?

Thanks,
Dave

sorry for the late reply, nice long Christmas...
