My new favorite shooter.
I picked up a Ruger GP100 with a six inch barrel from a friend a couple of weeks ago. I really like the feel of the houge grips and already added a set of william's fiber optic sights. I like the trigger but it could be a little smoother. I had some 158 grain SWC .38 spl reloads and some JHP S&B mags and it shot both well. I'm going to carry it as close range alternative during deer season. I've got some 158 grain XTPs that I'm going load with some h110 powder.

Dry fire the heck out of it and you will smooth that trigger right out, I love my 6in GP100.

I have the 4" version. I installed the wolf shooters pack spring kit and love the way the trigger feels now. with dry firing and the spring kit it really smoothed out.

Hard to go wrong with a GP. I miss mine dearly. I always liked 158 grainers instead of the zippy 125s that most seem to love.

I prefer them as well, gonna try the 125's in my Winchester though.
