7.62x54R load?

I'm looking for load data on a 165 g lead bullet. i have IMR 4198 and 4895 powders. starting and max charge if anyone has it. thanks

For normal lead bullet velocities you will have trouble getting good case filling even with 4198. You might try IMR 4759. It is bulky. Start at around 10 grains and work up, watching for pressure signs and leading. The other possibility is to use a powder that isn't very case position sensitive. Try about 10 grains of Unique and work up toward maybe 20 grains. That should take you from around 1500 fps to around 2000.

Can I suggest you start with Red Dot, 2400, or 4759?

Once you gain a little experience, move on toward higher performance.
