.357 magnum too light
Had a .357 Magnum and .38 Special Big Boy from Henry which I did not like.
A friend wanted a .357 but the dealers can't say when they will be delivered. He had one on order for about three months and still no word on when it would arrive. I told him to buy one in .45 Long Colt and I would trade mine plus a hundred bucks for the larger caliber. Mine is nearly new in box with about fifty rounds through it. Can't wait to shoot this SOB.

Sounds like a good 'trade' to me . A .45 Colt Henry for .357 .

I think you are prolly right.
I just got my first .44 Magnum weapon, an Uberti Revolver so I will have an opportunity to compare. I am loading only black powder. I don't do smokeless anything.

Matt
Yep. The only smokeless rounds that were ever through the rifle were some (prolly a dozen or so) that were rounds I bought from Georgia Arms at a gun show or from Mac's reloads at the same show. My load sheets are in the shop so I can't tell you the precise load but it is all the BP that will fit under the bullet with about 1/8 compression. Bout 800 fps from a 7.5 inch barrel revolver.
