Selling/shipping rifle from IL to another state
Before you pounce, yes I used the search but nothing specific came up ...
If I live in IL and want to ship a rifle to a buyer in another state, as long as it isn't banned from their state and it goes to an FFL in their state that accepts aquisitions from private individuals, then it should be good to go, yes? Someone told me it can only be a state bordering IL but I can't find anything to do with that in the IL state legislation. Anyone in IL done this? |

Only a state bordering IL doesn't sound right. You should be able to send it to any FFL who will in turn transfer it to your buyer.

Yea, that's what I'm thinking. Thanks for your input.
