night sights and airplanes...

Hi gang,
Considering night sights are radioactive material, are their any special requirements when checking them into the airport? I know what the rules are for checking guns, but do the nightsights have a set of rules of their own? Thanks

No, their emission is well below the limits set by the NRC. The sights give off a fraction of what the old tritium painted watches did.

Don't worry. FAA is silent about laser sights and night sights.

Navy joe is right, it's a non-problem. (But the old watches were painted with Radium not Tritium.)

oops, Mal is right. Guess it would be kinda hard to get the Tritium to stay on the paintbrush.
