Does this look familiar to anyone?

That looks just like a Tasco SS 10x42. Except.....with different markings.....and the rear section of the tube between the parallax adjustment knob and the eyepiece is not fluted.

Maybe its one of the early models submitted for military testing. Interesting pic....where'd it come from?

That's similar to teh Tasco SS unit, but brand labeled for sale in Europe. Hakko makes it, and you can order the generic unit thru ABO, USA in Miami, Fla.

It's internally identical to the TASCO SS and I'm getting it shipped from New Zealand for US$318.

About what you can get them for stateside. Hmmm.....the guy running the shop sold the Tasco's for a lot more but found these both more appealing and less costly, because I guess Tasco is a better name in NZ?
