henry lever action 22 model help
I just purchased a used henry lever action. on the web site it shows models able to shoot 22lr 22l and 22 short. However on the barrel of mine it say 22lr. I can find a model on the gun only the serial number under the lever. Does anyone know where i can find the model or if it is able to shoot all 22 ammo? Thanks for any and all help

You can use .22 LR, Long or Short. You just can't shoot WMR's. Great rifle - enjoy it.

If it has a 'normal ' length stock, 15rd capacity and round barrel, probably your garden variety 001. Same as mine.

You can use .22LR, .22L, or .22short with no problem. I've shot more .22 short through my Henry carbine than LR by far. It's my pest control gun and around here .22 short is enough 99% of the time. As stated earlier, DO NOT try .22 magnum ammunition, Magnum and LR are not interchangeable.
