45 acp bullet choice

Im trying to load a hot 45 bullet for hunting. Looking for something to leave a big hole in a whitetail. what bullet do you suggest and what grain and what powder would you use

Hornady XTP, 230 or a 250 grainer.

Power Pistol will get all you are going to get out of 45 acp.

The 230 MIGHT not hold up on a big bone in a whitetail if you have it going too fast. The 250 MIGHT not expand much if you don't hit some bone.

I would use the 230, load it to about 850 is all, and stick with close broadside shots only.
