Chamber size question

Greetings all,

I own a replica .44 Remington 1858 made by Armi San Paolo (now Euroarms). Would anyone happen to know what the chamber size is for this? I am looking to buy some conical lead rounds from Raider2000 and I want to make sure I get the right size.
Any information you can offer will be greatly appreciated.

Best to wait til you get it and measure, usually .456 balls will squeeze into any 44 cylinder as most are between .452 and .455 usually, but I've seen them as small as .449 and as large as .457. These were on Pietas and Umberti's.

I have a Euroarms 1858 Remington New Army that was proofed in 1972; I slugged the chambers at 0.442", the lands at 0.440" and the grooves at 0.449". I would caution you to slug your gun, however, as some variations are always present.

Thank you. I already use .454 ball without any trouble.

Slugging is new to me. So, for slugging the chamber, would I just need to ram a ball in and then pull it?
