300 RUM conversion?

I can not seem to find case dimensions any where for the 300 RUM, and I need to know if I can convert my 300 WinMag to a 300 RUM. I am frankly getting bored with my WinMag, need to spice things up a bit. Will a 300 RUM work through my action? I have a Model 70 Winchester Super Grade. The magazine is 3.4 inches long, and right now I am loading the cases to a 3.375 OAL to get the bullets closer to the lands. Any insight or info welcome.

IIRC, you should only have to ream the chamber. You might not be able to get as many rounds in the magazine, though. Remington solved this by cutting windows in the magazine that the cartridges then bulge out into. These windows allow one more round I think. Maybe you can cut windows in your Winchester magazine?

Bolt face, bore diameter, and extractor/ejector size should be identical.
