stardard scope base vs. saddle scope mount
There are saddle scope mounts available for various shotguns. I'm wondering what advantage these would have over standard scope mounts, which are generally less expensive, simpler, and easier to attach to drill and tapped receivers.

Saddle scope mounts are intended for shotguns that aren't drilled and tapped for scope mounts.
