What pistol do you own duplicate(s) of?
And what is the reason? Variations? Paranoia about parts? You carry twins? Another for a significant other? Competition backup?
For me it is the Walther PPS, my EDC. I own 4 and all sport the Limbsaver 12012. A standard black .40 with laser sight (my EDC in an Ace pocket holster with the shortest flush mag), an OD .40, an OD 9mm with night sites, and a blaugrau 9mm. Sometimes I carry spare PPS's in my boot tops. |

Two Glocks 26, 34. I like them and the 26 I carry.
A bunch of N frame S&W because I am addicted to them and most are 44 special. 3 1911’s Do you really need a reason? I forgot some, Cap and ball revolvers. Two are sequential SN's around 10

Ask this question over on the 1911 Forum and you'd get hundreds of answers--all the same answers!

Duplicates, as in exactly the same, just two models:
2 S&W 586s, 6", just because I like them. 3 Ruger Bisley Vaqueros, 4-1/2", in .45 Colt (a pair and a spare) for CAS If the definition of "duplicate" includes the same gun in different barrel lengths, different calibers, or slightly different configurations, the list would be much, much longer.

2 Pythons. I bought the first one because I always wanted an early (1960) Python. Then, when a '57 Python became available at a price I couldn't refuse I had to snap that one up too.

I do not own any duplicates and never will. life is too short and dollars too few to buy more than one of the same gun.

HK P2000.
I stippled one for better grip and it made a massive difference, but then it started becoming irritating to carry. I found a 2013 used one for a good price and I keep that stock.

I have a couple of pairs,,,
I have a pair of Ruger 22/45 Mk-III's,,,
I call them Equitas and Veritas,,, My Modern Dueling Pistols. I also have a pair of Beretta NEOS pistols,,, Actually I have three of them but one is dedicated to the Carbine Kit. Meet Naomi, Wynona, & Ashley. I just like having sets of things,,, When I take a newbie out shooting,,, It's nice that we are both using the same gun. Or I could just be ruled by my OCD tendencies. Of all my other pistols,,, The one I would like to have a duplicate of,,, Would be Morgana, my Smith & Wesson Model 67,,, Pretty much for the same reason as the other two sets I own. Aarond .

Not Exactly Duplicates, but...
Currently four (soon to be five) 1911-types - An original Colt 1911, made in 1918, two Series 70 Colts (one's engraved) and a Ballester Molina. Next on the list will be a 1911-A1 Colt made in 1944.
Only two High Powers, but they're not exactly duplicates either, one's an FN, the other's a FEG. BTW, they shoot equally well.

Case in point: Ruger .44 Magnum Super Blackhawk. Sighted in for 240 gr. bullets at 1400 fps. Want to use 180 gr. JHP at 1700 fps. So, bought another Super Blackhawk. Then found a beautiful set of walnut grips for a Super Blackhawk and bought them. Then had to buy a Super Blackhawk for those grips. Bob Wright |
