how do you remove damaged 1911 bushing

I had a set of slim grips on my colt that I decided to replace. Upon doing so, I sheared one of the bushings screwdriver slots away. Now there is nothing for the screwdriver to grab hold of, and being slim grip bushings there is not much sticking out of the frame to get hold of.
Is there some way to get it out without causing damage to the frame threads?
