_The Snubby by Ed Lovette_ can y'all review as a tactical and handgun book?
Has anyone read The Snubby by Ed Lovette? Was it any good? Does it discuss the tactical advantages of the snub nose? Does it give background on the Detective Special that it's cover displays? What's the story?

Yes, yes, yes, and some. Ed discusses the DS as an alternative to the J frame S&W.
Good read, one of the books I try to review at least once a year. |

Second Reading
I'm reading it for the second time. I decided to carry a Chief's Special after reading it the first time. Excellent book!

I think he is the same author that used to write for one of the Harris publications about guns. If it is, he pretty much sold me on my own first snubby.....
They are not hip and trendy but they are hard to beat for a practical carry gun, is my opinion..... |

Just ordered it from Amazon last night. Sounds great. Thanks y'all. I have a Detective Special and it is not "hip" for everyone else, but to me it is a nice cool classic gun that does make a good backup carry gun when you can't or don't feel like carrying the big daddy full service revolver around.
