Good Enough. . .AR's, Optics, etc

For just about every post, there is alot of Internet besting going on out here. By that I mean a push to the high end which causes people a loss of cost vs. value balance.

Example:
Lot's of people will tell you, if you ask, that you need a Colt 6920 AR. Black Friday here had the MOE one for $1399. I bought an Armalite M15A2(relatively cheap gun) one time and was thrilled with it. It had accuracy, reliability and a decent trigger.

Any "against the grain buys" which you have done well with?
