I bought a 835shot gun.jpg in perfect condition it shoots upto 3 1/2's i gave 100.00 for it is that a good buy? thanks

Mossberg 835 Ulti-Mag for 100 bucks? Whoa. This shows how bad the economy is and how short of cash people are, or its hot for that price. Be careful and consider the source. If the guy is iffy, I'd leave it alone but it could be one of those good rare deals that come along once in awhile. That is a screaming price for that gun.

Probably 300 depending on age and condition. I'm pretty sure they sell new for around 5 or a little more.

Mint condition? Perhaps 400?

its in prestine condition. really nice shotgun. so i didnt get hurt on the buy thats for sure. thanks for the help

Dude, it's worth hundreds, not A hundred -- if he's really your best friend I'd a) I'd tell him now you'll give it back to him when you're done renting it until he can afford to buy shells again b) sell it and split the profit with him c) pay him the rest of what it's really worth now*.

*I'd get a quote from a coupla gun shops and pay him the difference of what they offer you on average -- that way you don't rob him and he doesn't lose out, will continue to trust your friendship and be happy it found a good home with his pal, and you STILL got a great gun at dealer COST not to mention being able to look yourself in the mirror and sleep at night.

AMEN!!! I would consider this to be a $100 pawn Item and treat as if it still belonged to my "Best Friend" until he completely defaults or tells me he is NOT interested in getting it back...

If a friend came to me with that offer, I would offer him $200 sell price if it were really a $400 gun (which the 835 is easily worth in exc. condition)...

But that is just me....
If only a passing acquaintance than get the cheapest price I can... Like the Penn Sargus 5000 on matching rod worth 200 I just got for twenty bucks
