Smith Model 42 "lemon squeezer" reissue
Hi, I was just wondering if Smith is still releasing the Model 42 (blued j- frame, with "lemon-squeezer"-type grip safety, no internal lock). It's represented on the "Classic Revolvers" main page on their site, yet I don't see it in the menu that lists all the firearms in their "Classic" line. I'm having trouble tracking this gun down, was it a limited run that hasn't been removed from their site yet?

S&W did list this at one time in it's classic series. If you don't see it listed any longer contact an S&W dist. or S&W customer service.

Did some additional research and found a page from the Smith site and it was marked "ARCHIVE".. so I'm assuming they're done with it. Also, it looks like it costed a bit more than I wanted to spend anyway, so... a moderator might want to close this thread (question answered).

Anyone know how many of the guns are made when S&W releases a classic.

I'm guessing there's not a set number and that it varies with sales.
