AR-15 sling thing and scope
I'm looking for a sling mount for my CAR-15. A friend of mine gave me a brand new 3-point sling, but it needs a swivel thing for the front, I'm looking at something like this:
http://dynamicarmament.com/items/ar1...227-detail.htm Is that any good? Also I'm looking for a scope. Nothing powerful. I have seen this: http://www.parts4ar15.com/ar-15_acce...pePackage.html Does anybody have one of these? Thanks!

personally i just use the stock sling mounts, but from what ive seen this is my favorite:
http://www.adxtactical.com/store/pc/...&idcategory=55 it allows you to quickly detach your sling... also if you search around on that site there are alot of other good options

That is a good sling mount for a single point sling but doesn't do much for the front part of the weapon.

Good points
I like the post because I'm trying to decide on a hook up for my own AR. I've been thinking on a 1x42 red dot for mine. I guess I should get another AR and put the 4x on it. I have to get a sling like the tactical one shown. Good post.

How about this? If you have a rail, that is. Looks like 3 different styles.
GG&G used to make one as well, but it seems to be no longer available. It was called the "sling thing."

I'm rocking this with a 2-point sling setup. QD mount is attached to the side of my handguard closest to the receiver, and the other end of the sling has another QD swivel plugged into my VLTOR stock. The QD mount also works well mounted at the front end of a rail for a 3-point sling if you have a rail to stick it on.

I use one of the Turner Saddlery biothane slings. I think that I bought it from Midway.
