Marlin 21? Tell me more.

Already posted on the research area. Thought I'd let the scattergun boys have a crack at it. Just got back from a local shop. They had a Marlin 21 shotgun in 12g. One of those"somebody died and now they hocked the guns he saved for a lifetime" I initially thought it was a Winchester 97. Looks to be in good shape with minimal butchery. An aftermarket kickpad installed at least a generation ago and one screw boogered. Does $225 sound reasonable?

I'm no expert on these, but there's a few things wrong with the older Marlins. Some blow up with modern loads, being designed for BP ones.

And there's short chambers to deal with, IIRC.

Unless you really want it as a decorator,pass...
