Taylor & Co.

Anyone had issues w/Taylor & Co. lately? I sent them $825 for a Uberti Scofield approximately 3 months ago and have yet to receive it. They said they were out and had to backorder it, then when it came in...there was something wrong with it so they sent it back. Starting to feel like I am being dealt with by Kahr Arms or something.

Taylors sells a lot of guns to SASS shooters. They have a good reputation. I'm sure it's just what they said. BTW the Schofields are hot with SASS right now. Give them a call. 540-722-2017

There's no need to be that harsh yet.

If it was Kahr, they would have just shipped you the defective one for you to discover its problems on your own.

Taylor's is very good, I've bought 3 guns now through them, always helpful and they've even picked out figured woods for me upon request.
Uberti products have been on backorder for some reason. I had a Beretta goldrush that Beretta was supposed to exchange since it was defective, 4 months went by with no new rifle due to the backorder, Beretta had to send a refund.
Just call Taylors and try to get a timeframe on the backorder.

Yeah...I will give them the benefit of the doubt. Didn't realize the Scofields were so "hot" at this time. You're right about Kahr Arms. That's exactly what they did to me when I purchased an M-1 Carbine from them. The rifle, out of the box, would not cycle in semi-auto mode. I had to "hand-jack" the piece of crap to get it to fire...and even then, it was unreliable. I sent it back to them and they sent me a replacement one, and...bingo...same problem. After that, I demanded my money back and would not even buy so much as a key chain from them.

I had a Uberti Remmie on back order with Taylors for 3 months too ..I talked to Patty there and she was real good about calling me and giveing me progress reports .....mine finally came in about 2 weeks ago . Sure was glad to get it , it was a model they don`t sell that many of ..the 5 1/2 barrel with color case frame ....I was beginning to think it had been removed from the product line ..I had one I bought a few years ago , but sure wanted a pair.

There ya go.. now you have a name to follow up with. Time was (I remember) that when someone bought something from you and you back ordered it, you called the customer every now and then to let em know you were not forgotten. Thing is, now, theres not enuff time in the day to BS with all your friends, avoid work, schedule your vacation, go to a long lunch, read a magazine in the head for an hour, take a run around the block to keep in shape and WORK too! Those were the days. :barf:
