Savage/Stevens Choke codes?
Somebody help. The LGS has a 77B pump in awesome shape for $125. The shopkeeper doesn't know the choke. All I can see is one (1) asterisk on the barrel just forward of the receiver. Anybody know WTH that would be?

Use this link
gobookee.com then search for savage 77 owners manual. Should be a free download. Everything you will need to know should be there.

One for full, two for mod., three for IC.
If you have a dial caliper, you can verify that by measuring at the muzzle and check against this chart http://www.shotgunlife.com/shotguns/...un-chokes.html |
