One of these turned up for sale nearby. An over-under, 12 ga., Italian gun brought in and marketed by Savage about 25/30 years ago. Minor dings, blueing wear, very small patches of rust. In other words, a field gun. Had one ( 440Trap ) way back when. Anyone have an idea what they should go for as described?

Rusty, the Savage Model 440T was imported to the USA from 1969-1972. In the condition you've described it might be worth about $350-$400, equivalent to about 65%-85%. Hope this helps!

Thank You most kindly, sir.
I'd say it's closer to 85-90%. Just bad enough to take into the field and not worry 'bout scratches or dings, and tight/solid enough to not worry about that either. And they're asking $300 ( our town is in a recession right now ).
