I have a friend who has a Colt single action revolver with a 28xxx serial number. Can anyone tell me when it was manufactured? Thanks. Doc

Does it have a prefix or suffix of 'SA' with the serial number? If not, Colt SAA of that serial range were produced in 1876. 28###SA were made in either 1959 or '60. SA28### were made in 1979.
