870 Trigger Plate Pin Removal

Do you have to remove the barrel, forearm, and bolt assembly to remove the trigger plate pins? Or should you be able to pop the pins out without having to take apart the gun?

Just pop them out, no need to strip. Cock the action first, makes it easier to get it out and recock it before you put it back.

hmmm... ok. They're in pretty tight. I'll try a mallet and give it a gentle pop on the pins.

Use a non metallic drift or push pin to avoid marring the finish. Some use a golf tee, a chopstick's the tool here.

Erick, eagerly awaiting your report....

Thanks for the help. Got it off just fine using a chopstick (good tip, DaveMCC) and a mallet.
